Orientation and Enrolment

Page Section

As a new student at Keele University International College (KUIC), you are required to attend Orientation and Enrolment before starting your studies.

Orientation

Orientation is your chance to settle in at KUIC and make friends before your classes start. Attendance is compulsory, as each session helps prepare you for when teaching begins.

Some of the talks during Orientation will include the following essential topics:

  • College Director/Principal Welcome
  • Attendance and Engagement
  • Academic Expectations

There will be a number of sessions run by the University including:

  • Welcome to Halls
  • ‘Stokie’ for beginners
  • Introduction to British culture

There will also be fun activities to get involved in at the Students’ Union.

Please note: If you arrive in the UK in time for Orientation, you are expected to attend.

Enrolment

In order to receive your timetable and begin your classes at KUIC, you will need to complete enrolment. Enrolment takes place during the same week as Orientation. The Student Support team will share detailed guidance on how to complete the enrolment process, but here is a brief overview of the steps involved:

  1. Complete Keele University Online Enrolment
  2. Complete On-campus Enrolment with KUIC and Keele University

You will need to enrol with both KUIC and Keele University (two separate processes) before you can begin your classes. You should report to KUIC to complete your on-campus enrolment as soon as possible after you arrive in the UK.
